UIA Work Registration Requirement

Individuals filing for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits in Michigan are, in most instances, required to Register for Work.

Registering for Work involves the following.

1. Creating a jobseeker profile on the Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC) site or updating an existing profile.

2. Claimants MUST meet with a Michigan Works! Agency (MWA) representative either IN PERSON OR VIRTUAL GOOGLE MEET APPOINTMENT.

To register for work in person, please visit one of our American Job Center locations:

No appointment neccesary for in person visits! Photo ID is required to complete in person UIA work registration.

UIA claimants will be invited to join a google meet with CAMW! staff to complete all necessary steps in compliance with the Work Registration Policy. Confidential information and ID will need to be provided to complete the process sucessfully. 

Please Note: Claimant’s photo ID must be held up to the camera. A completed jobseeker profile on Mitalent.org is required to register for work. Appointments will be cancelled if your profile has not been accessed within the past 7 days or photo ID is not available.
